This explains what personal information Next Dimension Electronics collects, why,
and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal
Information Act (POPIA).
Who is responsible
- Responsible party: Next Dimension Electronics,
Unit 1, Comprop Square, 7 Henry Vos Close, Strand, 7140 - Information Officer: Jasper Muller
- Contact: mr.jjmuller@gmail.com · 084 880 1881
What we collect
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name, email, telephone | To process your order and talk to you about it |
| Delivery and billing address | To deliver, and to match your payment |
| Order history | Warranty claims, returns, and your account page |
| Website usage | To keep the site working and spot abuse |
We do not collect or store card details. Card payments are handled
entirely by Payfast on their own systems. Your card number never reaches our server.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We process your information because it is necessary to perform the sale you asked
for, to meet our legal obligations such as keeping accounting records, and — for
marketing only — because you agreed to it. You can withdraw marketing consent at any
time without affecting your orders.
Who we share it with
- Payfast — to take payment.
- Couriers — name, address and phone, only so they can deliver.
- Our hosting provider — who stores the site and its database.
- SARS or other authorities — where the law requires it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for five years, which is what tax law requires.
Account details are kept while your account is open. Ask us to close your account and
we will remove what we are not obliged to keep.
Where it is stored
On servers in South Africa, run by our hosting provider. Where a supplier processes
information outside South Africa, we require protection comparable to POPIA.
Your rights
You may ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it where we
are not required to keep it, object to its use for marketing, or complain. Write to
the Information Officer above and we will answer within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of
South Africa: inforegulator.org.za,
enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over HTTPS, access to customer data is limited to the people who need
it, and payment is handled off-site by Payfast. No system is perfect; if a breach ever
affects your personal information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as
POPIA requires.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping your basket and
your login. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser,
but the basket and checkout will stop working.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and update the date
at the top.
